By Aug 1862 all but two miners had left Gold Creek for better prospects.
After only four months, Gold Creek placers were nearly abandoned
and the town "American Fork" was abandoned.
1866: Pioneer mining district organized.
1867: Pioneer Company using Hydraulic mining and activity increased again.
Yam Hill near Batterton Bar.
1868 or 1869: Conrad KOHRS and others formed Rock Creek Ditch Co to provide water 16 miles via canal.
