The town of Baun might have existed in 1904 and doesn't now.
I'd contact the Powell County Genealogical Society, powell.mtgenweb.org/pcresource.htm and ask if they have a book on cities/towns that don't exist today. There are also books for Post Office's that don't exist today. You might have to send them a research request.
I used rootsweb's city/town to county index. Click on Home and it's about 1/2 way down on the left-hand side. I did that and entered Baun and no county appeared. Successful Searching!
